AWS scheduling not suspending monitoring during stop window
Set up AWS scheduling for our dev environment: stop at 10PM CST, start at 6AM CST. The instances stop correctly but AlertMonitor still fires "host down" alerts during the window.
Timezone is set to America/Chicago. Schedule shows as active. What am I missing?
Check if the monitoring suppression is toggled ON in the schedule config. The stop/start schedule and the monitoring suppression are separate toggles — you might have the schedule but not the suppression enabled.
Also double-check the timezone. I made the mistake of setting it in the schedule but my browser was auto-detecting a different timezone. The API stores UTC internally.
