Meraki API rate limiting affecting network map updates
Our AlertMonitor network mapping is hitting Meraki API rate limits during peak hours. We have 200+ Meraki devices across 8 sites. The map updates fine at night but during business hours we get gaps.
Anyone dealt with this? Is there a way to adjust the polling interval in AlertMonitor?
Meraki's API rate limit is 10 requests per second per org. With 200 devices, you're probably hitting it if polling is aggressive. AlertMonitor should have a "polling interval" setting under Network Map > Settings. Try bumping it from 5min to 15min.
Also check if you have other integrations hitting the same Meraki org API key. We had a third-party tool that was burning through our rate limit. Consolidated everything under AlertMonitor and the problem went away.
The Meraki dashboard itself shows API usage under Organization > API usage. Check there first to see what's consuming your budget.
