Uptime & Availability Tracking

Every RMM agent and SNMP device, polled every 2 minutes

What it does

AlertMonitor tracks availability for every monitored endpoint and network device on 2-minute polling cycles. Historical uptime records accumulate automatically, with configurable retention periods. SLA-ready availability reports are generated on demand or on a scheduled basis — no manual data assembly required. When something goes offline, your analyst team knows before end users call.

SLAs need to be earned, then proved: Your clients want proof of uptime, not just your word. AlertMonitor generates auditor-ready availability reports from actual monitoring data — no manual export, no spreadsheet assembly. When SLA discussions happen, you arrive with data.

Capabilities

  • 2-minute availability polling for all RMM-managed endpoints and SNMP devices
  • Multi-check availability: ICMP ping + service port check + agent heartbeat
  • Configurable alert delays to suppress transient flaps (1-minute, 5-minute, custom)
  • Historical uptime records with adjustable retention periods
  • SLA calculation: 99.9% / 99.5% / custom threshold reports automated weekly
  • Downtime attribution: scheduled maintenance windows excluded from SLA calculations
  • SSL/TLS certificate expiry tracked as part of the uptime monitoring suite

How it works

Uptime checks run from the AlertMonitor monitoring infrastructure on configurable intervals. By default, a device is considered down only after two consecutive failed checks to prevent alert storms from transient packet loss. Check history is stored with millisecond timestamps for accurate SLA calculation. Maintenance windows are configurable per device or group and suppress alerts automatically.
