URBackup integration — every job status visible, failures alerted
What it does
AlertMonitor integrates with URBackup to provide centralized visibility into every backup job across all clients. Last successful run, job duration, failure reason, and backup size are tracked continuously. When a backup fails or falls behind schedule, an alert fires to your analyst team — not your client — so issues are addressed proactively, before the client asks why their restore failed.
Backup failures are silent by default: URBackup and most backup tools will log a failure — but nobody is watching the log. AlertMonitor watches it for you and escalates to a human the moment something breaks. Your client's data protection depends on someone seeing that alert.

How it works
AlertMonitor connects to the URBackup server API using read-only credentials to pull job status, client list, and backup history. Status is polled every 5 minutes. Alerting thresholds are configurable per client and backup type (file vs. image). Job failure details including error codes and last-run timestamps are surfaced in the alert context, giving analysts the information needed to triage without manually logging into the backup console.
